e-Gift Card Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to Maro e-Gift Cards (“gift cards”) issued by Maro Online Pty Ltd (ABN 88 640 814 651) (“Maro”, “we”, “us”). By buying, receiving or using a gift card you agree to them.

1. Using your gift card

• Gift cards can be redeemed online at maro.com.au only. They can't be used on maromusic.au, in marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Kogan, Temu) or in person.
• Enter the gift card number in the Gift card box at checkout. The value used comes off your order total; if the order costs more than the balance, pay the difference by card.
• Any unused balance stays on the card and can be used over multiple orders until it expires.
• Up to five gift cards can be used on one order.
• Gift cards can't be used to buy other gift cards.

2. Expiry

A gift card is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued (shown in the gift card email). Any balance remaining after the expiry date is forfeited. If an order paid partly or wholly with a gift card is cancelled, the gift card amount is returned to the card with its original expiry date.

3. Not cash, non-refundable

• Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged, reloaded or refunded, except where required by law.
• Gift card purchases are non-refundable. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
• Refunds for goods bought with a gift card are returned to the gift card used (and any card payment to that card).

4. Transfer, loss and theft

• Gift cards are transferable — anyone who has the gift card number can spend the balance. Keep it safe, like cash.
• We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift card numbers, or for use by someone you shared it with. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced, except at our discretion (for example, where we can verify the purchase and the balance has not been used).
• We may cancel a gift card obtained by fraud, error or in breach of these terms.

5. Delivery

Gift cards are delivered by email to the address given at checkout once payment is confirmed (usually within minutes). Please check the recipient's email address carefully — if it bounces, contact us and we can resend it with a new number.

6. Balance and help

7. GST

Gift cards are GST-free when purchased. GST applies to the goods you buy when you redeem the card.

8. General

We may update these terms; the version in force when you use your gift card applies, but changes will not reduce an existing balance or shorten its expiry. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
